Errisbeg house is the home of Richard 7th Duke de Stacpoole nestling below Errisbeg Mountain sitting on three acres of gardens. The house was originally built as a two story hunting lodge in 1875 by Joseph Clogherty of Roundstone. An extension to the house was built in 1901 by Joseph’s son Patrick Clogherty. There is some debate as to which part of the house was built first and has earned the nickname of the “Architects Folly”.
